Okay, where did my chin go in these pictures? At least you can't see the wrinkles.
I took this last night on my way to book club where I spent a delightful evening with the Chicklits. Every time we meet we say that we DEFINITELY need to publish a cook book. We certainly know how to feast sumptuously. It has become not only a book club but a real dinner club too. It's awesome how women can encourage and inspire each other on so many levels.
This morning Candace came over and we took a spin class on bikes at the Leisure Center and after lunch I set Candy Apples up to be a blogger. Can't wait to see what my funny, witty friend will do with this new avenue of expression. I love following my friend's blogs. Have YOU ever thought of blogging for yourself? It's really fun. It's a good way to find expression. Bloggers generally blog because it makes them feel good. Don't do it if you are looking for feedback because generally people who read your blog do not leave a comment. The ones who leave comments are bloggers who know how nice it is to receive a comment so they "do unto others."
Tomorrow I meet with the Joy Club who all attend the Foursquare Church. The pictures must be a subconscious attempt to fit in. ha ha What would I do without my women friends? I'm such a clubby kind of girl these days. Just when I think I'll back off and isolate myself I end up with another gathering and because everyone enjoys it so much we end up putting a little fence around the group and decide to continue to meet.
Here's a book I just bought that is supposed to be quite delightful. They say when you are finished reading it you will want to start a club, so maybe you would find some inspiration there! Maybe I shouldn't even read it, because knowing me I'd start another group. Oh well, you can't have enough friends in this world. That's my motto!
Enjoy your week!!!!

That's an intriguing title for a book....let me know if you enjoy it....
ReplyDeleteSo there's a new blogger 'Candy Apple'....that's great!
Great pics of you mom! Glad you are having so much fun with your 'high society' groups!
ReplyDeleteI think Canadians (and landed-immigrants-in-Canada) must be much more sociable or available or something than Americans. But I'm going to see what I can do to get some gals together regularly down here in the States. You inspire me.
