Instant Gratification

The key to good lawn in B.C. is about 10 inches of sand for drainage.
Bob prepared the grass area with sand and has been waiting for good weather to lay down the sod.
Spring visited us for one day this week.
It was a glorious, warm and sunny day.
Bob had two great helpers - Bill and Sophia.
Bob was pretty cute doing his lawn dance as he packed down the sod with his feet.
We are now one step closer to having the garden in full swing for spring and summer.
The garden will be featured on the Maple Ridge Garden Tour this coming June.
This will be the second time that we participate in raising money for the Sunshine Children's Foundation.
Bob's garden won second place in the best garden of B.C. in 2009 - a contest run by the Vancouver Sun.
It has also been featured in Garden's West Magazine.
(This unpaid advertisement has been brought to you by the proud wife of the gardener....)
Hope you will have a chance to stop by this summer to enjoy it with us!

Enjoying the end of the day
Bob and Bill Kimball

  1. Looks great! Love the rock edging and the pathway. Didn't know Bill was visiting. Fun stuff! We have a foot of snow and -18 degrees last night. Not fun stuff...
