What happens when you combine four young mamas, with their four young daughters and four older women?? That's twelve feminine souls having a great afternoon together learning some basic sewing skills. The church basement has proved to be a really open, well lit space to dust off the sewing machines and set up shop. Throw in some food for lunch and lots of laughter and you have a monthly Yes, I Can Sew class.
At Christmastime I had cut out some little gifts for the little ones at church. For some reason, I just never got around to sewing them. That's when the idea struck me! Forget it, I will just teach the moms how to make the project themselves. Stay tuned for next month when they display their finished projects.

The button sewing Guru Karen teaches the gals how to 'sew on a button'. Don't laugh, I even learned a few new tricks using a toothpick! |

| Jeanette used this time to teach the little ones. |

| Yuko was my right hand woman in the kitchen. |
I have to say that I felt a
little alot like my mom Eileen on this day. First of all, I am behind the camera snapping pictures. I am surrounded by lovely ladies having a great time. I made her famous Paprigash soup for lunch and hello? We were SEWING!! She who has ears to hear, let her hear. You know what I'm talkin' about!

Some one on one hand sewing instructions. |

| Karen had saved all her school years sewing books from a hundred years ago (ha ha) and it thrilled our vintage loving souls to see the memorabilia. |

| The sewing patrol keeping an eye on the seamstresses |
 |
| I love the smile! |
 |
| Jackie had never been at the driver's seat of a sewing machine. As a little girl she was a passenger watching her mama do the sewing. It was awesome as she was flooded with memories. |
 |
| By the end of the day the girls had moved their sewing tables to face each other as they got down to business! |
 |
| Jeanette, we love you and thank you for giving the mommies a nice break!! |
