We were anxiously awaiting the arrival of two carloads of company.
The first guests arrived from Portland around 12:30 - Sister Sandra and Niece Kristin.
They braved the elements and drove through Oregon and Washington and B.C. to be with us!
They made me think of the Proverbs 31 woman who 'has no fear of the snow for her household and 'she brings her food from afar'...
Not only were we glad to see them, we were blessed to have their homemade oreo balls and pumpkin roll and almond roca bars. Yum!
The second car came in around 2:30 with some VIPs as well.
Uncle Dave and Auntie Sara have moved back to Vancouver!
We were sitting in the window waiting for them and soon they appeared from the icey white substance. They brought us great joy and happiness.
We are thrilled to have them back.
The Prodigals have returned and we had a feast to celebrate.
Not naughty Prodigals just missing persons who have returned home.
Aunt Sandra captured the moment for us!
Hi, Auntie!
Hi, Daughter!
We had all the trimmings without the gobble-gobble.
I made a yummy pork roast instead of the bird.
I was so happy not to have to deal with a dead bird carcass.
Turkey is over rated.
Pork makes better gravy.
This is Sophia's Thanksgiving Artwork.
So we are now enjoying a nice long weekend with our guests from Oregon.
Sara and Dave are living in Surrey with family there for the time being.
It hasn't sunk in that they are here to stay!
We are very happy that they are...
