Two Are Better Than One

I live with the Energizer Bunny. I'm not kidding. That is my metaphor for my husband. He is a strong presence in my life and of course, in our home. He works circles around me. Literally. Sometimes, I have to take deep breaths to overcome the high energy level around me. He can do ten jobs to my one. You can imagine what it would feel like to have that energy fly off into the sunset. It has been a very quiet three weeks for me here at home. I am used to pacing myself around his activity. I weave in and out of his energy field and occasionally bring him tea. He has taken his capacity and has been spending it in Vietnam. From all of his reports, it has been an amazing time for him in many, many ways. I'm so happy that he has had the chance to pour himself into the lives of these precious people. But I'm ready for him to come back home to me. I am a capable woman. I found many things to do while he was gone. I learned new things about myself, built strength into my friendships, completed a make-over on our dining room set. It's been good. But God wasn't kidding when He said that 'two shall become one.' I love that we cohabit and work together as a team. Maybe I have a calming effect upon him as he has an energizing effect upon me. I just know and believe that two are better than one and I'm all in favor of marriage! By the looks of this picture, my spirit has definitely rubbed off on him. I can tell you that he hasn't had much hammock time while there, but I'm glad that he found some near the end of his journey. Hurry home, Honey!
