Okay, today I made another stride toward becoming more like my Father - Papa Troy. I bought a George Foreman Grill. I'm not sure how long Dad has had his GFG sitting on the counter but I'm a late bloomer compared to him in his usage of it. (mine won't be sitting on the counter). Dad and I are little preachers at heart and we have been encouraging each other about our public speaking. He is conducting a Thursday Bible study and filling in on Sundays too at the home where Mama is staying. This picture was one of our early morning goodbye pics when Mom and Dad would be circuit visiting their kids in the north west. We always had our goodbye pics - hence the no make up look. Dad doesn't wear make up so it didn't matter. There were always tears in the eyes too.P.S. I will be using my GFG for making Paninis. That might be an area where Dad and I differ, although he does get sproutsy now and then and because he eats lunch in Davis occasionally he just might know what I'm talking about.
Here's to you, George!
This next pic was taken before GFG.
Check out the Idaho suspenders and the
wood cook stove. Who needed George then?
We just FRIED those deer steaks.
An oldie but goodie of my little darlings and their Grampa.
Don't freak out girls, I think you are adorable. Laura has since
found a fabulous hair style and bought a straight iron. She was
'off' bangs for about twenty years. Sara is now a gorgeous blonde
and Gina is Miss Trendy Short Hair.
Dad has his own hair issues. He will let just
about any one one of his daughters cut his hair.
Don't tell anyone, but I'm his favorite because
I put the hair in the waste basket as I go. ha
Sophia just doesn't really give a rip, although
I saw a recent picture where she had early
morning rooster hair. Check out Laura's blog
for that.....pearsonality.blogspot.com
