I haven't run out of Grandmother Linda stories but I can't just keep writing about this new role I have. I really don't have bloggers block but I realize that I will have to keep this somewhat interesting because if I go off on philosophical tangents I may lose my audience before I ever really gain one! So today I send happy thoughts to you and pray that you are finding heart adventures that keep you dazzled and amazed at the gracious life you've been blessed with. As my friend Clara always said, "All is rosy in the garden." So no matter what set of circumstances you find yourself in, may you see the rosy lining.Today I went to a new thrift store in town. I've started a new hobby making altered books but I'm beginning to get the feeling that there is some other altered book nut in town because I am finding it harder and harder to find the little cardboard baby books that I need to make my albums. The "Ridge" has some pretty cool little haunts and I try to visit them weekly. Trust me, if I can't find books there is plenty of other good stuff to be purchased.
I was quite pleased with a few shabby chic finds today and called my friend Kristi to share my joy. She just so happened to be looking for a kitchen table and chair set so I cheerfully asked her if she wanted me to go on the hunt for her. I'm fast. Within ten minutes I was calling her and telling her about a fantastic deal at the antique mall. I was wishing I had my camera when I had the light bulb in my mind begin to flash. Of course! I have my phone. I told her I knew how to operate the camera but she knows I am 'text message' illiterate. Well, now that I'm a Mac woman I feel there is no technological challenge too big for me anymore so I figured it out and voila!!! Within the hour she drove over and we loaded up her new table and chairs. It was awesome. It's fun spending someone else's money too.
