Fabric Collage

I enjoyed gathering my bits and pieces and filling the frame that I found at the antique mall for $10. I painted it cream. I used old book covers that I wrapped with fabric. Tattered roses are great fun to make. The little angel came from Italy as a gift from Gina when she travelled in high school. The chenille background was her old bedspread and has found itself in Sam and Lola and Sophia's quilts and all sorts of projects through the years. I dusted off the ruffle maker and shirred the muslin. Who knew I would ever make ruffles again? Not me! The buttons and ribbons and fabrics are collections that come from the thrift shops.
The words from the Psalms are a great reminder for anyone who visits my 'spa' retreat.

  2. Me likey. It's soooo cool to me that you are always creating something. Good expressions of the heart. Wish I could be putting my hands to work the way you do.
