Look at what my little neighbors secretly left for me and Grampa yesterday.
This hand spun wool is what my hubby brought me from Alaska.
Little surprises are such fun.
So, let me say something. I am finding that I don't rush to take pictures of Sophia now that she lives here. My daughter Gina taught us a long time ago that it is better to take mental pictures and to just enjoy the moments rather than fiddle with a camera. And then the grandchildren came along and the only way I could see them was digitally. Well, now I am back to just enjoying the moments. Sophia brings us great joy and I just love sitting back and watching her. I realize what a personality a two year old has and somehow watching her has brought back so many memories of my own girls when they were little. Who they have all become as women was definitely expressed and revealed as little ones but you are so busy being a mommy that you don't realize the long view. Now I am taking the time to ponder and reflect on my daughters and am enjoying watching their children develop as little people. I guess that is what Gramas have time to do.
In just over a month I will be spending my time travelling with the Woods family to Europe and I am so thrilled to be able to see Sam and Lola and have this same opportunity with them.
Another gift that is more precious anything - grandchildren!

Such lovely gifts from your neighbours!....and just as we heard on Sunday, we have the incredible privilege of delighting in our children's children....we have been blessed!
